Pesticide Paradox
Running the same tests over and over catches the same bugs. Different bugs go unnoticed.
How to use it. Pair your regular test suite with other methods, such as mutation testing, exploratory testing, and deliberate failures. Different methods find different problems.
How it gets misused. "We have 90% coverage" used as proof of quality. Coverage tells you what got tested. It does not tell you whether bugs exist.
