Mob Programming
The whole team, one keyboard, one piece of work. The driver types. The navigators direct. Roles rotate frequently.
How to use it. Use it for work that needs deep team alignment, such as architectural decisions, gnarly bugs, or onboarding into a new domain. The benefit is shared understanding more than throughput.
How it gets misused. Run as a permanent default. Mob programming is intense and tiring, and as an everyday mode it burns people out. Used occasionally, for the right work, it spreads context better than anything else.
