Practices
A way of working, repeated until it becomes habit. A practice only counts when you do it.
- Practice Test-Driven Development Write the test first. Write only enough code to make it pass. Refactor. Repeat.
- Practice Continuous Integration Every change is merged to a shared trunk at least daily, with automated verification.
- Practice Trunk-Based Development Everyone works on a single shared branch. Features ship behind flags until ready. Branches last hours rather than days.
- Practice Pair Programming Two people, one keyboard, one piece of work. They swap roles regularly.
- Practice Mob Programming The whole team, one keyboard, one piece of work. The driver types. The navigators direct. Roles rotate frequently.
- Practice Pre-mortem Before starting work, imagine it has failed. Ask why. Document the answers. Plan against them.
